This year's Venison for Manna program came to a close with the presenation of a $500 Gift Certificate to Jay's Sporting Goods to Lynn Pearson from Harbor Springs.  The program, which encourages hunters to donate a portion of thier harvest to the Manna Food Project generated over 2,100 lbs of vension this year and has generated over 11 tons of meat since the program started.  The protein is distributed to over 35 food pantries and meal programs from Mackinaw City to Mancelona.  Special thanks to our area processors that serve as the collection point for the program.  Kruegers Fish Market, Mackinaw Custom Meats, and Ida's Kitchen.  Here, club members Dave Meyer, Rod Niswander and Manna Director Carrie Klingelsmith assist Jays Manager Mark Copeland present the certificate to Lynn Pearson.
Petoskey Rotary Sunrise donates button maker to Petoskey District Libary Makers-Space.  The 3" machine will serve multiple purposes.  It will add another size to the Makers-Space (1", 2" and now 3") for all to use.... and, our club will use the machine to make our own name badges as our supplier has discontinued the product we've been using.  Here's the button crew... A super fun night of celebration. Thanking the club for another outstanding year (yes.. we brag once in a while!) and recognizing all the cool people and "stuff" together we accomplished for others.  Pictured clockwise:  The sellout crowd; Noon-Club President Reg Smith and our Sunrise Rotary Club President Brian Wagner unveiling the Rotary International Theme for this year; Val Meyerson presenting the "Service Above Self" award to Joe Kanine.

Congraulations and Thank-you to Val Meyerson for a super year as Club President 2022-23.  A heartfelt congratulations and Good Luck to Brian Wagner... Club President 2023-24.  Great job Val. The bar is set high for Brian... but we know he will hit it out of the park!
