Officer Exchange Night
June 24, 2003

The Sunrise Petoskey Rotary Club meet at the Petoskey Bay View Country Club on a pleasant Tuesday night for Officer Exchange Night.

After a social hour, we sat down to a dinner duet of sliced pork loin with raspberry sauce & whitefish bruschetta followed by dessert.

There was no missing the smile on President Dan's face. Was he happy to step down - or had he started celebrating a lot earlier.

Dan recognized the out-going Board members for their service: Mark Potter, Dan Ledingham, Jim Shirilla & Hob Ingelson (absent).

Dan also made a special award to Mike Mullen for his work on the Fish painting he did for the Great Northern Fish-In: a Chamber Bucks gift certificate.

Mark Hilal aided Dan with the unveiling of the latest purchase - a "Rotarians at Work" sign.

Dan says - "You the Man!" to the incoming President Mark Hilal.

Incoming President, Mark Hilal, presented Dan with the traditional gifts to outgoing Presidents: Past President pin, a clock & a plaque.

Mark made a few comments including his plans for the future of our club - to continue our usual service efforts, further our progress toward new members & Paul Harris Fellows, and strive harder to find a World Community Service project for us to get into.

Winding out the evening, Bill Brower and Rod Niswander read the "Joke of the Day" for the spouses that normally miss this at our meetings.

Bill finished with the true story about Neil Armstrong & his comment on the moon - "Good luck, Mr. Gorskey"

 A "sign of the times".

Not much work tonight, but watch us in the future!
